Updated: The issue has now been resolved!
We have identified 3 bugs (2 possible and 1 confirmed) that appear to have slipped into the Battle Pass Season 2: Ablaze update (July 26th) and are causing approximately 7% of all battles to crash on the server.
When these crashes happen, all players in the mission will receive an error message that says, "The network is trying to catch up". The only option when this happens is to leave the battle — and if necessary, leave/disband your squad — before joining a new one. You will be sent to the crashed battle again if you don't completely leave it.
If you find yourself unable to leave your squad, please log out of the game completely and wait at least 5 minutes before logging in again.
You might also want to try joining a different game mode or change your matchmaking filters to avoid being assigned to the crashed mission again by the matchmaker.
