2. Right-click anywhere to activate the mouse cursor.
3. Click on the player you want to report — a pop-up window will open with various infos and a [Report] button.
4. Select the reason for the report and send.
Automated anti-grief system (“F1 reports”)
I pressed the [F1] key in-game to report a player but it didn’t seem to have any result, why?
The first 2 times a player is reported this way, he gets a warning in the form of a green flag. If he keeps ignoring these warnings, the penalties will become more severe: yellow flags which stay after the battle, then a kick (1 red flag), then a temporary ban (2 red flags).
A player can only be reported through the [F1] key once every few seconds. There is a cooldown period between reports, which also means that if the player teamkills (or damages) multiple people at the same time, only ONE of the reports will be counted. The system was designed in this way to avoid someone being kicked out instantly after a car accident, for example.
But this doesn’t mean that unreported teamkills just go away: the admins can see how many people you teamkilled by looking at your character stats.
Also, pressing [F1] does nothing when the option to report someone is not visible on your screen.
Reporting abusive players via support tickets
How do I report a player via support tickets?
It is possible to report players the “oldschool” way, by sending us a support ticket. Simply click “Submit a Request” and you will be able to choose a category called “Player Reporting” in the ticket submission form.
You will receive an automated reply that we have received your ticket and we will investigate your report.
What information should I provide in my report?
The most important things are:
- the name of the offender
- the time of the incident
- the mission ID number, which can be found in your H&G Sync Window. (See the picture below for an example)
- a short description of the incident (2-3 sentences) can also be useful
Also, if someone is trolling/griefing, either a screenshot of their behavior, or even better, a link to a video on YouTube or Twitch.tv will be very appreciated and will help us investigate faster.
However please DO NOT send links to videos promoting cheat software. We know they are out there, and we are keeping an eye out for new cheats.
Will you send me a confirmation once the offender is banned?
No. For privacy and security reasons, we cannot comment on the status of other players’ accounts.
